Attensity is profiled in the magazine's May 16th issue, as well as online at www.fortune.com/fortune/breakout. "We are pleased that the editors of FORTUNE consider Attensity a breakout company," said Craig Norris, chief executive officer of Attensity. "It is gratifying to have FORTUNE underscore the value that our text analytic software applications are delivering to government agencies and the FORTUNE 500. We're truly honored to be in the spotlight of such an influential and widely-read publication." To compile the list of breakout companies, the staff at FORTUNE screened more than 100 candidates submitted by venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and other reliable sources. Attensity was singled out for the "lightning-fast computerized sentence diagramming" technology underlying its analytic applications that help major companies solve product and service quality problems, and federal intelligence agencies discover and counter threats and risks. "What is a breakout company? These upstarts are changing the game; they're truly innovative companies from a frothy sea of poseurs," said Julie Schlosser and Matt Boyle who co-wrote the Intro.
