Attensity Presenting Text Analytics Innovations with Teradata at Two Key Industry Events in August

Dr. David Bean, Attensity Founder and CTO, also to Lecture at TDWI

PALO ALTO, Calif. - August 14, 2006 - Attensity™, the innovator in Text Analytics software solutions, today released details of its participation in two key industry events: The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) World Conference in San Diego, Calif., August 20-25, and The DNI's Information Sharing Conference and Technology Exposition in Denver, Colo., August 21-24. At both conferences, Attensity will exhibit products with strategic partner and reseller Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation, the global technology leader in enterprise data warehousing, analytic applications and data warehousing services.

"The popularity of these two conferences and the inclusion of Text Analytics topics in these events indicates the growing interest in this technology in large corporations and government agencies," said Dr. David Bean, Attensity's chief technology officer and vice president of engineering. "TDWI and The DNI's Conference both provide solid opportunities to share Attensity's lessons and successes with people exploring advanced technology like Text Analytics. We look forward to demonstrating our products to managers and investigators interested in learning what it can do for their organizations."

TDWI is the premier provider of in-depth, high quality education and research in the Business Intelligence and data warehousing industry. On August 21, Dr. Bean, who is also Attensity's founder, will present a 75-minute course titled "Text Analytics: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow." His presentation will highlight Attensity's patented Exhaustive Extraction™ approach to text analytics, which pulls out all facts and causalities from a corpus of unstructured text without requiring knowledge engineers to laboriously create extraction pre-definitions - allowing that data to be used in concert with relational data in existing data warehouses to create actionable information enterprises and government agencies can leverage for better decision-making.

At The DNI's Information Sharing Conference and Technology Exposition (formerly Intelink), Attensity's Government Systems group will exhibit and demonstrate Text Analytics solutions for the more than 1,000 government, military, and contractor national security personnel from various locations around the world.

Attensity will share exhibition space at both conferences with its strategic partner, Teradata, to demonstrate how they collaboratively deliver technology that addresses the increasing demand for a Text Analytics solution across a variety of industries. By combining Teradata's data warehouse technology with Attensity's applications powered by Exhaustive Extraction™, they have created a world-class system that leverages all available data to deliver comprehensive analytics for manufacturers, financial service providers, retailers, government agencies and more.
