Attensity privacy policy

Protecting personal data is an important matter for Attensity Europe GmbH. All of Attensity’s web activities comply with European legislation and the standards issued by the European Union and the GBDe recommendations from September 2001. Attensity Europe GmbH also adheres to the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG). This privacy policy governs how Attensity Europe GmbH treats information gathered in the course of your visit to its website.

Collecting and processing personal data
Personal data refers to the information that identifies you, e.g. your name, your address, e-mail or postal addresses. Attensity only stores personal data from you when it is explicitly desired, e.g. when ordering information material or subscribing to newsletters.

Our webserver is administrated by Attensity Inc., USA. When visiting our website, a text file, also known as a “cookie”, is stored on your computer. The cookie records the pages you have viewed and indicates whether you have downloaded documents, for example. It does not include information specific to you personally.

When ordering a newsletter, information of this nature may be linked to your personal data. This means that it is possible to identify the topics you are most interested in, based on what you have viewed. Upon request, you may receive information tailored to your profile.

Use and disclosure of personal data
Attensity Europe GmbH will use your personal data exclusively for purposes related to the technical administration of its web pages, as well as to give you access to specific information and for general communication with you.  Attensity Europe GmbH will not disclose your personal data to third parties, nor will it make any other use of such data. The employees of Attensity Europe GmbH are required to maintain confidentiality of your data. IT service providers commissioned by us, as well as their employees, are contractually obliged to abide by the law in dealing with your data and to maintain confidentiality of your data.

Since there is considerable discussion regarding the use of analytics tools with complete IP addresses, we note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIB()”. In other words, the site uses only shortened IP addresses, so it is impossible to establish a direct link to a specific individual.

Attensity Europe GmbH strongly urges all parents and guardians to teach their children safe and responsible handling of personal data on the Internet. Minors should not enter or transmit personal data on the Attensity Europe GmbH website without the consent of their parents or guardians. Attensity Europe GmbH verifies that it does not knowingly collect personal data from minors, nor does it use such data in any way or disclose it to third parties without authorization.
