Attensity Continues Momentum by Appointing Mary Egan Lorigan as Vice President of Enterprise Sales
Software Applications Veteran Joins Innovator in Unstructured Information Analytics

Palo Alto, Calif. - April 04, 2005 -- Attensity, the innovator in software applications that seamlessly integrate and analyze both structured and unstructured information, today announced that software veteran Mary Egan Lorigan has joined the company as its vice president of enterprise sales. Her primary role will be to manage and grow the company's direct sales force and to further secure customers for its solutions within vertical enterprise markets, such as automotive, durable goods, technology, and hospitality.

Lorigan brings a wealth of experience and contacts to Attensity from her 20-plus years directing sales organizations to sell sophisticated software application solutions. She was instrumental in leading sales teams at Docent, Vantive Corporation and Informix Software, before and after their initial public offerings.

"Mary has the unique ability to work with early-stage organizations and then to remain an effective executive as the company grows," said Craig D. Norris, Attensity's chief executive officer. "She understands how to work within dynamic markets to further a company's momentum so that it can continue to succeed. With Mary's broad and relevant experience, we look forward to her contributions across the breadth of Attensity."

Lorigan joins Attensity after an extraordinary career in software sales on a worldwide basis. Most recently she held the position of vice president of sales at Open Harbor, a global trade management web services provider. Prior to that she was the senior vice president of worldwide sales and services at Docent, spent over five years with Vantive, and over a decade with Informix, where she built and led the sales force, selling to Global 2000 companies and value added resellers. Lorigan holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego.

"I'm very happy to join Attensity at this exciting stage in the company's development," said Lorigan. "It will be very rewarding to evangelize the concept of unstructured information analytics in an ever-growing number of markets, and to deliver on the real benefits Attensity's solutions bring to its expanding customer list. I intend to capitalize on the company's enviable reputation for product engineering innovation and customer orientation, nurtured through its growing base of commercial users. I look forward to helping Attensity maintain its position at the forefront of the fast-growing market for text analytics in business intelligence."
