Attensity Names Robert Howells Chief Financial Officer
Enterprise Software Company Expands Management Team with Seasoned Financial and Operations Professional

Palo Alto, Calif. - June 29, 2005 -- Attensity, the innovator in software applications that analyze text, today announced the appointment of Robert Howells as chief financial officer (CFO). Howells, a technology industry veteran, brings over 30 years of financial and operations experience to Attensity. The appointment adds significantly to Attensity's world-class executive management team, as the company seeks to leverage the enormous opportunity represented by the business intelligence solutions marketplace.

As CFO, Howells is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative activities of Attensity, including financial strategy, accounting operations, human resources, legal, and investor relations.

"We are thrilled to have a CFO of Bob's caliber join our team at this exciting time," said Craig Norris, CEO of Attensity. "Bob has spent his entire career in the technology industry. In addition to being a founder and CFO of Entegrity Solutions he has also worked with several high-profile established companies in various financial and general management roles. He has both the operational experience and financial expertise to help Attensity continue to grow and maintain a solid financial foundation."

During his nine-year tenure with Entegrity Solutions, he successfully raised more than $50 million in funding, in addition to negotiating the acquisition of five companies. Prior to Entegrity, he was vice president and general manager of the Global Services Division at Pyramid Technology, where he was responsible for four principal business units generating more than $70 million in revenue from domestic and international operations. Howells also spent over 11 years at National Advanced Systems (NAS) where he held several executive-level financial and sales positions both in Europe and the US. While at NAS he was responsible for all worldwide field sales, support and service operations with an annual sales budget in excess of $1.1 billion and an operating budget of $200 million. Howells received a B.S. degree in accounting from Arizona State University in 1967, where he also participated in the MBA graduate studies program.

"The opportunity to join Attensity was one that I could not pass up," said Howells. "Having the ability to extract data and easily spot relationships is something that benefits not only the manufacturing and defense industries, but the financial services industry as well. As the need for text analytics continues to grow, I look forward to the opportunity to use my past experience to help the Attensity team continue to grow and maintain their leadership position within the market."
